On Friday May 8,  five local young adult authors visited the school.  Several English classes were able to experience first hand the writing and publishing process as the authors shared their most recent books and answered questions. Author Kate Conway walked her groups through the "What if" process she uses when starting a story.  The students enjoyed outlining story plots using their English teachers as main characters. Authors Jen Brooks and Trisha Leaver provided insight about college majors that lead to writing career options and shared their personal stories of becoming published writers.
